The first snow of 2011

The meteorologist's have been calling for snow since last Tuesday. It started out at 4" predicted and ended up at 10". From our measurements, it was about 7 1/4" on top of the car.


It was really coming down last night. We had some thundersnow & it was so odd hearing thunder/seeing lightening while it was snowing. In under 2 hours, we were able to collect 2 full bowls of snow for snow cream.


We spent the day making snowpeople, having snowball fights, & sledding. Since school has already been called off for tomorrow, and the snow is supposed to hang around for most of the week, I'm sure we'll be back in it again.
